Under the management of the Rapid News Communications Group for the first time since being acquired in November 2016, Med-Tech Innovation Expo - the only event serving the whole of the £27bn UK and Irish medical technology sector - saw almost 2,000 attendees from 22 different countries visit the Ricoh Arena to speak to over 150 exhibitors and learn from the world class speaker programme on both the conference and Med-Tech Introducing stages.
Over 500 visitors attended the conference presentations, produced in association with Medilink UK and Med-Tech Innovation magazine. Topics ranged from the Internet of Things, research and development, 3D printing in medical technology and patient focus to data-driven methodology, intellectual property law, improvement, working with the NHS, challenges, opportunities and so much more.
Laura Hunt, marketing communications manager at Steris, said “Med-Tech Innovation Expo is an ideal opportunity to meet our UK customers and new prospects face to face. The central UK location allows for easy access to visitors from across the nation."
Baltimore Innovations chairman, Ted Valentine simply said: "It’s got its mojo back!"
The Med-Tech Innovation Expo show floor offered unparalleled access to the tools needed for realising ideas across medical device product development, engineering and manufacturing projects.
Duncan Wood, CEO of Rapid News Communications Group, owner of Med-Tech Innovation Expo, said “We are delighted with the response to the first expo under our new management. We’ve been able to build on the solid foundations laid down by Colin Martin and his team and deliver solid growth on all the key metrics of number of visitors, exhibitors and space sold. This gives us a fantastic platform on which to deliver a bigger, better and more exciting event for the medical technology and healthcare sector in 2018.”
Med-Tech Innovation Expo 2018 will take place in the Ericsson Hall 1 at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, UK, from 25-26 April 2018.
